garlic roasted broccoli

almost forgot to share this...like i "forgot" to share it with David!

been waiting to roast the broccoli until it cooled down a bit...did this batch in the toaster oven to prevent heating up the house and save electricity....turned out really well...roasted brocolli doesn't look as green and pretty as steamed, but it sure tastes fantastic! Posted by Picasa

hi Martha!

we just toss it with olive oil, sliced/chopped garlic and a little chile flake...throw it under the broiler set to about 450, then watch it to make sure it just carmelizes and doesn't burn...you can flip it 1/2 way through the process, if you like.

one thing i do is line the pan with a little aluminum foil...it really saves on clean up.

sometimes i finish it as i did here, with a little tamari or soy sauce...

thanks so much for the post! glad you're liking the blog!
